Ethernet Media Converter
The FMC-GEx14 series Media Converter complies with IEEE802.3z,IEEE802.3AB Standards. It is designed to convert data signal between 10/100/1000 Base-T and 1000Base-SX/LX/ZX Gigabit Ethernet. It supports 10/100/1000Base-T and 1000Base-SX/LX/ZX applications. The data signal converted by such high performance media converter can be transmitted up to 120Km maximum by fiber-optical cable.
The Converter is equipped with two fiber optic connectors (One for transmitting-TX and another for receiving-RX) and one RJ-45 Jacks and one external power supply receptacle. Six LED indicators are built-in for easy diagnosing and monitoring the status of power, Unshielded Twisted Paired (UTP) Link, UTP Activity, Fiber Link, Fiber Activity, Full duplex and data rates. It can be configured automatically for Full Duplex or Half Duplex operation.
It is compact, cost-effective, low dissipative, high reliable and stable. It can be used in standalone applications, or Rack-Mounted applications where multiple media converter can be inserted into a rack-mount chassis (Up 16 units), and allowing complete function management, it support protocols like
SNMP, WEB, TELNET, CONSOLE and offering MIB database for convenient to be merged to the party’s
SNMP, and realizes the integrated management to all chassis.

* With rate limiting, any rate between 0Mbps and 100M bps can be set at the basic frame of 32Kbps,
and any rate between 0Mbps and 1000M bps can be set at the basic frame of 64Kbps
* Supporting Link Loopback test, precisely locating the failure, convenient for link test

* With SNMP protocol, Trap Destination and Community Name and related right can be set up, real time
receive and display of alarming information in way of SNMP Trap, special supervising window,
bumping alarming information.

* Flow statistic and pre-alarming function, real-time display of the communication status at each port
