The FMC-FES14(M) series TX to FX manageable fiber media converter is a Fast Ethernet media converter
that translates transmission signals from a twisted-pair 10/100BASE-TX cable to 100BASE-FX fiber optic
cable.It extends network data transmission distances beyond the 100 meters limitation distances of copper
wire up to 2 kilometers by using Multimode fiber optic model or 120 kilometers by using Single Mode fiber
optic model.
The FMC-FES14-80KM 10/100BaseTX-to-FX Media Converter is typically used to connect Fast Ethernet
devices, such as 100Base-TX Hubs, at long distance. The 100BaseTX-to-FX Media Converter will connect
servers or workstations located up to 80 kilometers from each other. It with simple set-up and complete
function management interface, it support protocols like SNMP, WEB, TELNET, CONSOLE and offering MIB
database for convenient to be merged to the party’s SNMP, and realizes the integrated management to all
chassis.
