FE1-4Eth Protocol Converter requires 2M totally transparent interface and 10Base-T interface is full duplex when using .Its configuration is very simple, user just need to decide whether to open CRC multiple frame according to demands. This equipment decides the use of 2M interface, automatically depending on the state of the 2M wiring .If all the 4 x 2M interfaces are being normally used the equipment will connect with 4x2M interface in full speed. If one of them or more than one are being broken down, the equipment will stop using of the broken interface, and then use other normal interface, viz. if one interface can work normally, the equipment will ensure the 10Base-T in good bridging connection.

The malfunction of 2M interface may caused by:

1. Receive negative code alarm
2. Receive AIS alarm
3. 2M interface link delay (Declaration If 2M data is transmitted by other ways, certain delay may occur. If the delay between different 2M channels is too serious, this equipment may consider that the 2M channel is not available, and then generate the 2M link delay alarm. This equipment allows delay between different 2M channels up to 8ms)
4. Error code generated by 2M interface
 Because this equipment is for point to point, and the 2M channel is transparent, so it’s not necessary to configure the clock manually.
